• Email received from David at Highways concerning our report of the overgrown vegetation under the trees, behind the post and rail fencing:
“Following your request, I have added this to an current order planned for ploughing, sweeping &
vegetation clearance works to be carried out along the old A30 through Yarcombe.
As this isn’t a safety defect, the only way works can be carried out is as part of any highway cleaning,
however, with budgets being reduced year on year, this will always be subject to funding &/or
prioritising therefore I am unable to guarantee this will be done every year.

9. Planning
To receive and endorse the Planning Decisions of the Council taken since last meeting under delegated authority:
To consider formally delegating the making and submission of comments on planning applications to the Councillors who attend the site meeting as there is insufficient time before the subsequent meeting and they are not brought back to the Council for a full formal vote.

• Email received from Cllr Horner “met with Gigaclear this morning together with Mike Canham who is Chair of Otterford PC – Just exploring the possibilities of Gigaclear rolling out a commercial network in the Bishopswood / Buckland area”

• Email received from The Devon Climate Emergency Response Group, chaired by Phil Norrey and comprising of public and private sector organisations, has appointed a Net-Zero Task Force to deliver a Devon Carbon Plan.
The Net-Zero Task Force is chaired by Professor Patrick Devine-Wright, a leading climate expert, and it includes experts drawn from environmental, economic, health and academic organisations.
The Task Force has today issued an invitation – a ‘call for evidence’ – to all Devon residents to submit their ideas about how Devon can reduce carbon emissions as quickly as possible. It will be conducting a series of hearings to help gather views, evidence and data that will be used to develop recommendations for the Devon Carbon Plan.
